Using HANGR
Acceptance of Terms
By using HANGR's website and mobile apps, you accept these terms and conditions in full. If you disagree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.
Service Description
HANGR is a free-to-play word guessing game. We provide daily puzzles across various categories, track your progress, and maintain leaderboards. The service is provided "as is" and we reserve the right to modify or discontinue features at any time.
Fair Play
You agree to play fairly and not use automated tools, bots, or exploits to gain unfair advantages. Accounts or progress may be reset if cheating is detected. We want everyone to enjoy a level playing field!
User Conduct
When using any community features, you agree not to post content that is offensive, harmful, or violates any laws. We reserve the right to remove inappropriate content and restrict access to users who violate these guidelines.
Shared Games
Games You Create
With the ad-free upgrade you can write your own puzzles and share them by link or QR code. You keep ownership of what you write. You grant Hangr a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store your puzzles and show them to the people you invite, for as long as the game exists on our service, so that the feature can work. You are responsible for your content. Do not include anything that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, sexually explicit, threatening, infringes someone else's rights, or reveals private information about another person. Player display names must follow the same rules.
Playing and Results
Shared games are private to the people who have the link (and PIN, if set). Each player gets one attempt per game. When you finish, the display name, score and results you entered are visible to the game's creator and to other players who have finished. Creators can close a game at any time, and published games stop accepting play after seven days. Shared games are not part of daily streaks, trophies or character perks.
Moderation and Reporting
We do not review shared-game content before it is published. If you receive a game containing content that breaks these terms, email the link to contact@hangrgame.com. We may close the game, remove the content and withdraw a creator's ability to make games. Creator libraries belong to the device that created them; a transfer file moves them once, and the file must be kept private.
Purchases
The ad-free upgrade and puzzle packs are one-time purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play and are subject to the store's terms and refund rules. Restoring a purchase restores the upgrade, not any shared games created on another device.
Liability & Disclaimers
No Warranty
HANGR is provided without warranties of any kind. While we strive for accuracy and reliability, we cannot guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Use the service at your own discretion.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HANGR and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. This includes any loss of data or game progress.

Technical & Legal
Intellectual Property
All content, graphics, and code within HANGR are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without explicit permission. The daily puzzles and game mechanics are proprietary to HANGR.
Security & Monitoring
Your use of HANGR may be logged for security purposes and to improve the service. Unauthorized attempts to access our systems or disrupt the service may result in legal action.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales and the Commonwealth of Australia.
Changes & Contact
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of HANGR after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
